Here is a basic template of our rules and guidelines, they are still a work in progress. We'll start with the general, and obvious stuff first. #1 Don't be an Asshole. I believe this should be the first rule ever brought up when it comes to gaming together with human beings. People have such a tendency to let anonymity allow them to turn into a prick, and we absolutely do not allow that here. If you are having a problem with another member, please take your issue into a private setting, and sort it out like adults. This is also goes for people that are outside the Guild. We want to have an image of a well-respected guild. We can't have that if we are always belittling other players in game, or being toxic in general. Toxicity is not what Albion needs, Mortality needs, or honestly, what anyone needs. So let's keep it civil, okay? #2 We Expect Participation. That's right. Why would you be in a guild if you don't want to interact with your guild mates? Or play in events? This is what this group is for, to come together and have some people enjoy some good ol' Albion Online. If you find yourself a lone wolf, then I encourage you to reach out and at least chat in our Discord, or ingame guild chat and make yourself known within the guild. If you don't like how what our guild has to offer, then please post in the Guild Suggestions forum. #3 Respect the KOS Rules KOS stands for Kill On Sight. This is a PvP oriented game, and as such there will likely be guild that we deem appropriate to vote Kill On Sight. This means that you are not to party with that guild, or anything else, your main goal when you see someone within a KOS labeled guild, is to kill them, if possible. If you are alone and see someone Mortality has labeled KOS, then drop into guild chat or discord and let other members know.
#4 Be understanding for New Players This game is rather new, and you will find people that join and have never played an MMO before. Albion, being truly cross-platform, we believe will bring in a lot of new people into the MMO realm, and personally that is rather exciting to us. We expect this game to explode, and for this guild to survive that, we will have to incorporate a lot of players that are both new to Albion, and in some cases, new to the MMORPG genre in general. Please, be helpful to your fellow guildmates, answer questions, provide support where you can, and don't get mad at a new player if they make a mistake, or don't know what to do. If you ever are a new player and have a problem with a member being toxic to you, please let myself or Kelthal know through a private discussion.
#5 Have Fun, and enjoy your life In the end, Albion online is a game, and everyone has their real life to attend to. We never expect players to take real life over their in game concerns, so please, feel free to go out for that dinner, head to the store, there is no one that is going to yell at you for wanting to sleep in. If you're not having fun in a game, then you should reconsider how you are playing it, or move on.
These rules will be edited as seen fit, but this is where we start!
